Today, we're showcasing an incredible LEGO MOC of the "Time Wizard" from the hugely popular "Yu-Gi-Oh!" series, built by Dutch LEGO artist Bodhi (@bodhimitri).
In the world of "Yu-Gi-Oh!", the "Time Wizard" is a powerful Monster Card gifted by Yugi Muto to Joey Wheeler. Despite its low Attack and Defense points, it possesses the incredibly interesting special ability "Time Magic." This ability has been famously used to age Mai Valentine's Harpie Lady, power up Joey's Baby Dragon, and even turn Rex Raptor's Red-Eyes Black Dragon into a fossil. While its effects are often a gamble, the "Time Wizard" has undeniably helped Joey overcome countless challenges and turn the tide of many duels.
For this MOC, Bodhi meticulously recreated the "Time Wizard" card's vibrant color scheme using red, purple, blue, and white bricks, along with Technic parts. The sand-colored gears are a perfect touch, and details like the clock hands on its face, the magic staff, and the pointed wizard shoes are excellently rendered. The cape is ingeniously crafted using flat tiles and a fabric LEGO minifigure cape. What's truly fantastic is that Bodhi also LEGO-fied the card itself, using it as a base! You can see he faithfully reproduced the Effect Monster's color, a miniature "Time Wizard" illustration, the star level, and the "LIGHT" attribute symbol. The entire piece is incredibly playful and packed with detail!
