Japanese toy company Kotobukiya, in collaboration with illustrator Shunya Yamashita, is expanding its popular "BISHOUJO" figure brand. Following the release of the original Wolverine (Laura Kinney), the "MARVEL BISHOUJO" series is set to introduce a new entry: the "Wolverine (Laura Kinney) X-Force Version"! This highly anticipated figure will be an exclusive release for Japan's largest character figure retailer, AmiAmi, and the official Kotobukiya store, with an estimated release date of June 2022.
First appearing in 2004's "NYX" #3, Laura Kinney, known as X-23, possesses Wolverine's genetic makeup. Beyond her potent healing factor, she wields razor-sharp Adamantium claws embedded in her hands and feet, complemented by exceptional agility that makes her a formidable combatant. Following in Wolverine's footsteps, she joined iconic superhero teams like the X-Men and X-Force, eventually inheriting the Wolverine mantle in the "All-New Wolverine" storyline. Standing approximately 24 cm tall, this figure largely retains the dynamic pose of the previous release, capturing Laura in a single-leg stance with claws extended, ready for battle.
