HobbyJapan's AMAKUNI brand, known for its "AMAKUNI Shingeki" series of ACG replica props, has announced its latest release: "Dai's Sword" from "Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai." This highly anticipated item follows the first entry in the series, "Cybuster Demon-Sealing Sword" from "Super Robot Wars OG," and is slated for an October 2022 release.
The "AMAKUNI Shingeki Dai's Sword" meticulously recreates the protagonist Dai's iconic sword and scabbard in a stunning 1/1 scale. Measuring approximately 97 cm (38 inches) in length, the sword is crafted from a variety of premium materials including ABS, PVC, aluminum, FRP, and features integrated LED lights. Beyond its faithful reproduction of the ornate carvings, gemstones, and sharp blade, it boasts a scabbard seal release mechanism and a wealth of dynamic light and sound effects.
This incredible collectible features multiple lines recorded by Atsumi Tanezaki, the voice actor for the new "Dai." Combined with the sword's built-in light and sound mechanisms, character dialogue, immersive sound effects, and brilliant LED illumination all synchronize to perfectly recreate Dai's signature "Avan Strash." Furthermore, by linking with the scabbard, it can even reproduce his ultimate special move, "Giga Strash"!
