Aoshima Bunka Kyozai's model kit brand, ACKS, recently announced new details for their latest product from the classic robot anime "Space Runaway Ideon": the "Space Runaway Ideon 1/450 Scale Model Kit." Release date is currently TBD.
The Space Runaway Ideon is humanity's ultimate weapon, restored and modified after excavating the ruins of the Sixth Civilization. This colossal robot, formed by the combination of three machines, stands at an imposing 105 meters tall and weighs 5,650 tons. Driven by the infinite power of "IDE," it possesses overwhelming combat capabilities. Its sheer mass allows for devastating melee attacks, and it's armed with 16,000 missiles hidden throughout its body, capable of simultaneous, omnidirectional barrages. In the later stages of the story, Ideon gains weapons powered by a "Miniature Black Hole" (MBH): the "Ideon Wave Cannon," which fires a destructive wave that annihilates vast amounts of matter, and the "Ideon Sword," a massive blade formed by converging long-range beams from its arms, powerful enough to cleave a planet in two.

This new release marks the first Ideon model kit from Aoshima in 40 years, following their "ANIME SCALE Series" from 1982. The "ACKS Space Runaway Ideon 1/450 Scale Model Kit" is an entirely new mold, crafted with the latest modern techniques to achieve a refined and formidable design. Its vibrant, color-separated parts faithfully recreate Ideon's on-screen appearance.
Once assembled, the kit stands approximately 24 cm tall, featuring Ideon's characteristic elongated limbs and broad lower legs/feet as depicted in the anime's mechanical designs. It also boasts a high degree of articulation for dynamic posing. Accessories will include the impressively sized "Ideon Wave Cannon" and "Ideon Sword" weapons!
