Following the successful launch of its first wave of products based on "The Batman" film, McFarlane Toys' popular "DC Multiverse" 7-inch action figure line is expanding with three new additions. Just in time for the movie's release, fans can look forward to "Batman (Unmasked)," "Catwoman (Unmasked)," and "Oswald Cobblepot (The Penguin)," all slated for a March 2022 release.
Directed by Matt Reeves and starring Robert Pattinson, the new "The Batman 2022" film plunges viewers into Bruce Wayne's second year as the Caped Crusader. Operating as a nocturnal avenger, Batman delves into Gotham City's underworld to hunt down The Riddler, a serial killer targeting the city's elite. Along the way, he encounters iconic characters like Catwoman and The Penguin, gradually uncovering the dark heart of Gotham.
This latest assortment from the DC Multiverse "The Batman 2022" series brings us the highly anticipated unmasked versions of Batman and Catwoman. Each figure stands at the line's standard 7-inch (approximately 17.7 cm) scale and features McFarlane's signature Ultra Articulation design, boasting up to 22 points of articulation for dynamic posing. The standout feature for these two figures are the impressive head sculpts, capturing Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne and Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle without their masks. Rounding out the wave is the villainous Oswald Cobblepot, aka The Penguin. While the figure notably omits his signature cigar and umbrella, it faithfully recreates Colin Farrell's almost unrecognizable portrayal of the character from the film.
