BANDAI SPIRITS' HOBBY Division today announced the latest addition to its high-precision model kit line, the "RG (REAL GRADE)" series: "GaoGaiGar" from "The King of Braves GaoGaiGar," slated for release on September 17, 2022.
GaoGaiGar is the ultimate mechanical lifeform, formed when cyborg protagonist Guy Shishioh fuses with the mechanical lion Galeon to transform into GaiGar, then combines with three Gao Machines developed by Earth's GGG Mobile Unit: Stealth Gao, Liner Gao, and Drill Gao. Its left and right hands possess offensive and defensive energy respectively, allowing it to unleash the devastating special attack "Hell and Heaven" by unifying these powers.
The "RG GaoGaiGar" leverages the RG series' signature high-level part separation and color molding technology. Upon completion, collectors will have four distinct machines: the mechanical lion Galeon, Stealth Gao, Liner Gao, and Drill Gao. The kit not only meticulously recreates internal cockpit details and individual track links but also faithfully reproduces the various transformation mechanisms and combination forms seen in the series. Galeon can transform into its robot form, "GaiGar," which then combines with Stealth Gao and Drill Gao to recreate its armed configuration. Furthermore, Stealth Gao and Liner Gao can also combine into their transport mode.
All four machines further recreate the "Final Fusion, Approved!" combination sequence, allowing them to merge into the incredibly powerful and imposing GaoGaiGar. The overall articulation is excellent, with a standout feature being the fully articulated hands, touted as the most flexible in RG history. Each finger joint is independently posable, and their sculpted design closely mimics human musculature, enabling more dynamic and impactful poses. Additionally, fixed-pose hands are included to faithfully recreate the iconic stance for the special attack "Hell and Heaven!"
For weaponry, the kit includes "PET sheet effect parts" to recreate the left hand's Protect Shade, as well as the "Broken Magnum," which features some metal parts, an internal spring, and an extending mechanism. The included Realistic Decals and Metallic 3D Stickers further enhance the intricate details of the model.
