BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division has announced the latest addition to its popular "Figure-rise Standard" character model kit series. Following the standard release of ULTRAMAN SUIT TIGA, the new "ULTRAMAN SUIT TIGA -ACTION-" from the "ULTRAMAN" universe is set to launch in September 2022.
Appearing in the mobile game "ULTRAMAN: BE ULTRA," "Tiga" is a new Ultraman Suit materialized when the mysterious youth Daigo unleashes the power of the Tiga Crystal, merging it with the concept of the Ultraman Suit. Its design is based on "Ultraman Tiga," the first series in the Heisei Ultraman era, which aired in 1996. This suit also features the signature "Zeperion Beam" special attack and the ability to change forms.
Unlike the previously released standard version, the "Figure-rise Standard ULTRAMAN SUIT TIGA -ACTION-" features a highly articulated design. The space previously reserved for an LED unit in the chest and waist has been re-engineered with multiple ball joints, allowing for more dynamic and powerful combat poses seen in the original work. The parts continue to utilize metallic gloss injection molding and Extra Finish techniques to replicate the suit's metallic armor texture.
For weaponry, the kit includes effect parts for the "Zeperion Beam" and the original "Zeperion Lance." Additionally, the product comes with an abdomen part that retains the space for an LED unit. By combining it with a separately sold dedicated LED lighting module, collectors can illuminate Tiga's eyes and chest.
