Following the release of the Granzort, Japan's MECHA SMILE brand has officially announced the latest addition to its MODEROID model kit series: the "MODEROID Super Granzort," slated for an October 2022 release. This new kit hails from the classic anime "Granzort."
The "Super Granzort," an enhanced form that debuted in the latter half of the series, is meticulously recreated with all-new sculpting. The kit features parts molded in various colors, clear parts, and pre-painted sections to ensure the most accurate representation of its on-screen appearance. Boasting flexible articulation throughout its body, the model also incorporates a seamless transformation gimmick, allowing it to shift from its iconic Face Mode to Battle Mode. Furthermore, the Granzort Crown includes two distinct parts—one optimized for Face Mode and another for Battle Mode—to maintain perfect proportions when swapped.
Naturally, the accessory lineup is extensive, featuring its impressive main weapon, the "Super Flame Emperor Sword." Also included are dynamic flame effect parts to depict the sword engulfed in fire, expressive hand parts for recreating its iconic chanting poses, and a magic circle-themed display base perfect for showcasing Super Granzort in its floating Face Mode.
