Kotobukiya, the Japanese model manufacturer, has officially announced the latest addition to its new everyday-life bishōjo model kit series, "Sōsai Shōjo Teien." The new product, "Yuuki Madoka [Swimsuit]," is slated for release in September 2022.
The "Sōsai Shōjo Teien" series is a new 1/10 scale model kit line developed by Kotobukiya in collaboration with popular Japanese illustrator En Morikura. Centered around ordinary yet distinctive high school girls, the series emphasizes five key features: creation, painting, decoration, customization, and collection. Builders can use various hair parts, facial expressions, accessories, and even specialized parts for different poses to craft their favorite female characters. Additionally, separately sold "AFTER SCHOOL" diorama parts allow for recreating rich scenes like dining at a fast-food restaurant or studying at a desk!
This release features the innocent and cheerful girl, Yuuki Madoka, in an adorable swimsuit design, brimming with summer vibes. The completed articulated figure stands approximately 15 cm tall. Key parts like the expression pieces, swimsuit colors, and patterns come pre-painted, allowing collectors to enjoy a wide variety of poses and scenes with the extensive included accessories.
The accessory set includes three hairstyles: "Long Straight Hair," "Ponytail," and "Twin Tails." It also features four facial expressions: "Winking Face," "Grinning Face," "Serious Face," and "Open-Mouth Smiling Face." In addition to seven existing hand parts, a new "PEACE" hand part is included. Other abundant contents include a "Special Body for Seated Poses," "Fixed Wrist Parts" for more natural posing, and three types of "Barefoot Parts" depicting her without sandals. Furthermore, the head can be swapped with characters from other "Sōsai Shōjo Teien," "Frame Arms Girl," or "Megami Device" series!
