Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya has announced the latest addition to its "Sousai Shojo Teien" daily life-themed bishojo plastic model kit series. The "Yuki Madoka [Swimsuit] Dreaming Style Sunny Sky" will be an exclusive release available only through the official KOTOBUKIYA SHOP, with a scheduled release in September 2022.
The "Sousai Shojo Teien" series is Kotobukiya's new 1/10 scale plastic model line, developed in collaboration with popular Japanese illustrator Morikura En. Focusing on ordinary yet distinct high school girls, the series emphasizes five key features: creation, painting, decoration, customization, and collection. Builders can mix and match various hair parts, facial expressions, accessories, and even specialized parts for different poses to craft their favorite female characters. Additionally, separately sold "AFTER SCHOOL" diorama parts allow for creating diverse scenes, such as dining at a fast-food restaurant or studying at a desk!
Compared to the standard Yuki Madoka [Swimsuit] release, this Dreaming Style limited edition boasts a unique swimsuit design and hair color. Her hair parts are molded in a vibrant blonde (the same as Rikka Saeki), while her swimsuit features a sky-blue color, giving her a more mature impression. As an exclusive bonus for this limited edition, a B2-sized beach background sheet is included. Like the standard version, the facial expression parts, swimsuit colors, and patterns are all pre-painted.
The accessory parts are largely the same as the standard version. This includes three hairstyles ("Long Straight Hair," "Ponytail," and "Twin Tails"), four facial expressions ("Winking Face," "Grinning Face," "Serious Face," and "Open-Mouth Smiling Face"), seven previously released hand parts, and a new "PEACE" sign hand. Also included are a "Special Body for Seated Poses," more naturally sculpted "Fixed Wrist Parts," and three types of "Barefoot Parts" depicting her without sandals. Furthermore, her head can be swapped with characters from other "Sousai Shojo Teien," "Frame Arms Girl," and "Megami Device" series for expanded customization!
