Japanese capsule toy maker KITAN CLUB is set to release an incredibly cute yet tough-looking capsule toy series in July 2022: the "Yankee Onigiri Figure"!
These figures are based on the creations of Japanese photographer Boku, Shimaenaga (@daily_simaenaga), who is known for his long-term photography of the adorable Japanese long-tailed tit, or Shima Enaga. Beyond sharing charming photos of these "snow fairies," he also combines them with various foods and desserts, creating delightful Shima Enaga-themed onigiri, mochi, cakes, and more. KITAN CLUB has now transformed his widely popular "Yankee Onigiri" designs, which garnered significant attention on social media, into a capsule toy series!

Each "Yankee Onigiri Figure" capsule toy stands approximately 8 cm tall. They perfectly capture the Shima Enaga's signature beady black eyes and tiny beak. The rice balls are wrapped on both sides with nori seaweed, mimicking the black uniforms worn by high school delinquents, and topped with delicious ingredients styled into classic pompadour hairstyles. The result is an irresistibly cute delinquent onigiri, born to look tough but melt hearts! This series features four varieties: Salmon (サーモン), Fried Shrimp (エビフライ), Sujiko (salmon roe, スジコ), and Wiener Sausage (ウインナー). Simply combine the two halves of the onigiri parts (which cleverly double as the capsule shells) and add the topping to complete your figure. It's an ingenious design! Long live the delinquents!
