Japanese figure manufacturer MEGAHOUSE today unveiled prototypes for two new additions to their monster-themed "ART WORKS MONSTERS" series: "Black Rose Dragon" and "Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon," both from the "Yu-Gi-Oh!" franchise. Release dates are yet to be announced.
"Appear, and guide me to victory!" From the "Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL" anime, the ace monster of Mizar, one of the Seven Barian Emperors, "Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon," is sculpted by KOMA. Known for his expertise in mechanical subjects, KOMA has meticulously rendered the sharp contours of its full-body armor, the intricate lines on its surfaces, and the detailed skeletal and internal structures, bringing it to life with immense power. The figure will also include a "Neutral" body and an "Overlay" effect part, characteristic of Xyz Summoned monsters.
"O, black flower, bloom!" From the "Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's" anime, the beloved ace monster of Akiza Izinski, "Black Rose Dragon"—famous for its field-clearing ability—is sculpted by Kenji Ando. Ando, renowned for his biological sculpting, has crafted a delicate dragon head and scales resembling rose petals, imbuing the figure with a strong sense of life and dynamism. Below the Black Rose Dragon, a sculpted representation of the Spell Card "Black Garden" is incorporated, perfectly capturing Akiza Izinski's signature deck strategy.
