To commemorate the upcoming 3D animated film "Lightyear," Japanese model maker Kaiyodo is re-releasing the classic "Buzz Lightyear" from "Toy Story" as a 1.5 version in their popular "Revoltech" articulated figure series, slated for July 2022.
The "Revoltech Buzz Lightyear ver. 1.5" largely retains the sculpt and articulation design of its predecessor, faithfully capturing Buzz's on-screen appearance and toy-like texture. The clear helmet features a deployable mechanism, and the figure includes interchangeable parts for his deployed wings. Standing at 125mm tall, Buzz boasts 19 points of articulation. This new version significantly enhances playability by adding three brand-new expression parts and a "Little Green Men" (LGM) figure!
Beyond the two original smiling faces, the new expression parts include a closed-mouth smile, a smug expression, and a surprised face. Buzz's eyeballs are also rotatable, allowing for an even wider range of emotional displays.
Accessories include the deployed wing parts, three Toy Soldiers, and the newly added "Little Green Men" (LGM) figure. The LGM's three eyes are also rotatable, enabling collectors to recreate amusing interactive scenes with Buzz!
