Following the previously announced "75329 Death Star Trench Run" and "75330 Dagobah Jedi Training," LEGO has now revealed the third installment in its "Star Wars" diorama series: the "75339 Death Star Trash Compactor"! This highly anticipated set is scheduled for release on April 26, 2022.
Comprising 802 pieces, this set recreates a classic scene from "A New Hope," much like the "Death Star Trench Run." It depicts Luke, Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Princess Leia as they infiltrate the Death Star to rescue Leia, only to find themselves unexpectedly trapped in the infamous trash compactor. They would have been crushed into pulp if R2-D2 hadn't intervened just in time! Once assembled, this LEGO diorama measures 22 cm long. Its standout feature is undoubtedly the walls that compress inward, faithfully replicating the scene's tension. The intricate wall grooves, the warning lights at the entrance, and the scattered trash elements on the floor are all meticulously detailed.
Another captivating aspect of this set is the generous inclusion of minifigures. Despite having only 802 pieces, the set comes packed with six characters: Luke, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Leia, R2-D2, and C-3PO. Furthermore, the black display base, the LEGO and STAR WARS logo bricks, and a display plaque featuring Han Solo's iconic line, "One thing's for sure. We’re all gonna be a lot thinner," make this set an absolute must-have for any collector!
