Global toy giant Mattel is releasing a new entry in its Pixar-themed "Featured Favorites" collectible action figure line, featuring the Flik & Dot set from the 1998 film "A Bug's Life." Priced at $21.99 USD, the set is slated for an April 2022 release!
Produced by Pixar Animation Studios, "A Bug's Life" was the second 3D animated film from Disney and Pixar, released in 1998. The film follows the ants of Ant Island, who not only toil through summer to gather food for winter but also must offer tribute to a gang of grasshoppers led by the tyrannical Hopper. The inventive and resourceful protagonist, Flik, accidentally leaves the colony and embarks on a quest to find "warrior bugs" to help them fight back against their oppressors.
The Mattel Featured Favorites Flik & Dot action figures faithfully recreate their adorable animated designs, featuring multiple points of articulation to dramatically pose them in their classic actions and stances. Flik stands approximately 16 cm (6.2 inches) tall and comes with a leaf hat, a water-drop magnifying glass, and his adventure satchel, in addition to the main figure. Princess Dot, at about 9 cm (3.5 inches) tall, is incredibly cute with her plump bottom and tiny back wings. The set also includes a leaf-themed display base to recreate fun scenes from the movie!
