Japan's high-end statue manufacturer Prime 1 Studio, known for its impressive "Ultimate Premium Masterline" series based on "Berserk," has unveiled its latest offering from the acclaimed manga: the "Guts (Berserker Armor) Bloody Nightmare Version" 1/4 scale full statue! It is slated for release between November 2022 and January 2023.
Towards the end of "Berserk" Volume 26, Guts finds himself completely outmatched against Grunbeld, also known as the "Flame Dragon." Beyond Grunbeld's formidable strength, Guts is further agitated by the Flame Dragon's claim to be a "warrior of the Band of the Hawk." However, upon donning the cursed Berserker Armor, forged by dwarves, Guts's pain receptors are completely numbed by an immense surge of anger, resentment, and hatred. In its place, a savage, uncontrollable impulse takes over, allowing Guts to fight with strength far beyond human limits. He effortlessly sends the Flame Dragon flying and shatters its cannonball-proof shield in an instant.
This new piece is fundamentally identical to Prime 1 Studio's previously released "Guts (Berserker Armor)" statue, capturing Guts in his forbidden armor, crouched atop a rocky base. It offers two display options: Guts with his sword resting on his shoulder (approximately 95 cm tall) or propped with both hands (approximately 75 cm tall), along with two interchangeable head sculpts. However, the "Bloody Nightmare" version truly elevates the statue's terrifying presence with its blood-splattered paint application, vividly conveying the intensity of battle. Coupled with the scattered demon soldier corpses and weapons on the base, it perfectly encapsulates the horrifying power of Guts clad in the Berserker Armor!
