BANDAI SPIRITS' TAMASHII NATIONS, a division specializing in collectible robot action figures, today announced the upcoming release of the "NELLIE BRAIN" from Yoshiyuki Tomino's acclaimed anime masterpiece "Brain Powerd." This latest addition to the ROBOT Damashii series is scheduled to launch in September 2022.
In the world of "Brain Powerd," ANTIBODIES are large, robot-like lifeforms reconstituted from metallic particles. They possess unique characteristics such as slow self-regeneration from minor injuries, individual consciousness, and distinct personalities. Pilots don't directly control them; instead, they engage in physical communication—like encouragement and petting—to guide the ANTIBODY in battle. The ANTIBODIES utilized by the protagonist's faction are specifically known as Brain Powerds.
This ROBOT Damashii release features the NELLIE BRAIN, the larger, valiant unit piloted by protagonist Isami Yuu. Its exquisite sculpting faithfully recreates the elegant curves of its armor, the distinctive discontinuous armor lines, and its layered structure. The orange sections are crafted with clear parts, allowing a glimpse of the internal mechanisms. The lower abdomen can open to reveal a cockpit, where a miniature figure of Isami Yuu can be placed.
The articulation joints are designed for exceptional flexibility, complemented by movable head wings that minimize interference, allowing for the recreation of its signature organic, supple movements. It comes with various interchangeable hand parts and the versatile "Brain Bar" weapon, enabling a wide array of dynamic poses. Furthermore, a special "hand-holding" hand part allows collectors to recreate the iconic final episode scene by pairing it with the separately sold heroine's unit, the "ROBOT Damashii HIME BRAIN"!
