TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS, today announced the latest addition to its popular mecha action figure line, the ROBOT Damashii series: the "HIME BRAIN" from Yoshiyuki Tomino's acclaimed anime masterpiece "Brain Powerd," slated for an October 2022 release.
In "Brain Powerd," ANTIBODIES are large, robot-shaped lifeforms reconfigured from metal particles. They possess unique characteristics such as slow self-regeneration from minor damage, individual consciousness, and distinct personalities. Pilots don't directly control them; instead, they guide ANTIBODIES in battle through physical interaction like encouragement and touch. The ANTIBODIES utilized by the protagonist's faction are known as BRAIN POWERDS.
This HIME BRAIN from the ROBOT Damashii line is the ANTIBODY piloted by the heroine, Hima Utsunomiya, known for its calm demeanor. Its elegant armor curves, discontinuous panel lines, and layered structure are meticulously recreated. The orange sections feature clear parts, allowing a glimpse of the internal mechanisms. The lower abdomen can open to reveal a cockpit, where a mini-figure of Hima Utsunomiya can be placed.
The articulation is designed for exceptional flexibility, complemented by movable head wings that minimize interference, allowing for dynamic poses that capture its organic, creature-like movements from the series. It comes with various interchangeable hand parts, the versatile "Brain Bar," the sword-type weapon "Brain Blade," and the projectile weapon "Shooter," enabling a wide range of action scenes. Pair it with the separately sold "ROBOT Damashii NELLIE BRAIN" to recreate their combined "Chakra Extension" attack.
