The "Gachimuchi Tori" (Battle Muscle Birds) series, widely considered the wildest bird toys in the world, is back! Following the first, second, third, fourth, and fifth installments, Japanese toy manufacturer MEDICOM TOY is set to release the latest Vol. 6 in July 2022. Five new feathered contenders are ready to battle for supremacy!
Designed by Japanese illustrator TAKIO-Chan (タキオちゃん), the Gachimuchi Tori series anthropomorphizes birds, giving them exaggerated, muscular physiques. These "muscle birds" strike provocative poses, flexing their impressive physiques to create a delightfully absurd contrast! Despite being a long-running series with numerous releases, each new volume introduces exciting variations, such as the kung fu-themed Vol. 4 or the surprising inclusion of the Nissin Hiyoko-chan (Chicken Ramen chick) in Vol. 5, consistently delivering fresh surprises.
The prototypes for this "Gachimuchi Tori Vol. 6" capsule toy series were sculpted by GREEN STUDIO. Standing approximately 6.5 cm tall, each figure perfectly captures the exaggerated, muscular forms of these powerful birds. The detailed shading on the muscles enhances their three-dimensionality, creating an even more striking visual impact. The feather coloration is also excellently rendered. This latest lineup features five new birds: the Pelican (ぺリカン), both male and female Mandarin Ducks (オシドリ), the Archaeopteryx, and the Night Heron (ゴイサギ). The Archaeopteryx, with its incredibly sharp gaze, looks particularly fierce! We can't wait to get our hands on them!
