To commemorate the 15th anniversary of the passionate robot anime "Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann," Japanese model manufacturer GOOD SMILE COMPANY's mecha-themed brand MECHA SMILE has officially announced a special anniversary product: the "THE GATTAI Infinite Combining Gurren Dan Lagann," slated for release in November 2022.
The "Infinite Combining Gurren Dan Lagann" is an entirely original design, never before seen in the anime. It brings together nine Gunmen piloted by members of Team Dai-Gurren, including Gurren Lagann, King Kittan, Dayakkaiser, Twin Boomer, Sozoshin, Einzer, Kidknuckle, Mo Shogun, and Kiyalunga. Each machine boasts its own distinctive sculpt, and the set features a toy-exclusive transformation and combination mechanism!
Unlike the in-show "Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann" or "Super Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann" forms, which represent a spiritual fusion of everyone's will, this product allows for a true physical combination. With Gurren Lagann at its core, the other machines transform into powerful arms, legs, and weaponry, completing the awe-inspiring nine-machine combination, "Infinite Combining Gurren Dan Lagann." Transparent green effect parts are used to highlight the numerous drills across its body!
Once combined, the figure stands approximately 24 cm tall, allowing for dynamic battle poses thanks to Gurren Lagann's articulated joints. The chest sunglasses are detachable and come with three different designs: one for transformation, one for Gurren Lagann, and one for Gurren Dan Lagann. Furthermore, the transparent green "Giant Drill Spark Effect" can be freely attached to the chest, back, or arms to recreate devastating special attacks!
