Japan's GOOD SMILE COMPANY, renowned for its popular "Nendoroid" series boasting over a thousand unique figures, is set to release the highly anticipated "Nendoroid My Melody" articulated figure, based on the Sanrio TV anime "Onegai My Melody"! The figure is priced at 5,500 JPY and was scheduled for release in December 2022.
"Please, My Melody!" The TV anime "Onegai My Melody" (おねがいマイメロディ), produced by STUDIO COMET, stars My Melody and is set in the human world of Dream Hill. The story follows the innocent My Melody, who is mistakenly believed by the royal family to have aided Kuromi's escape from prison. To clear her name and make amends, My Melody is ordered by the King to travel to the human world, collect one hundred pink notes, and prevent Kuromi from stealing people's dreams, thus beginning their battle for the notes.
The "Nendoroid My Melody" articulated figure stands approximately 9 cm tall, faithfully recreating the classic pink rabbit design of the beloved Sanrio character. She comes with three interchangeable face plates: a cute standard expression, a smiling face with closed eyes, and a confused O-mouth expression. Complementing these are various accessories, including the "Melody Baton" given by the King, a romantic "Parasol," and even a "Band-Aid" to subtly hint at her "scheming" side, alongside interchangeable hand parts. These allow fans to recreate her nuanced interactions with Kuromi from the series. Additionally, the figure includes interchangeable parts to display her in a charming sitting pose!
