This April, Bandai Spirits' prize figure brand, Banpresto, is set to release the second volume of its "Ranking of Kings" (Ousama Ranking) deformed figure collection! Just like the first wave, this set features the beloved trio: Bojji, Daida, and Kage.
Created by manga artist Sosuke Toka, "Ranking of Kings" has captivated audiences with its storybook art style, deeply nuanced characters, and a plot full of shocking twists. The series takes fans on an emotional rollercoaster of laughter and tears as they follow the protagonist, Bojji, on his quest to become the world's greatest king.
The story follows Bojji, the deaf and powerless prince of the Kingdom of Bosse. Despite facing constant ridicule, he maintains a smile, though he has his moments of private despair. Never giving up on his goal, the kind and resilient Bojji eventually finds his greatest ally in Kage, a survivor of the Shadow Clan. Together, this seemingly weak pair bravely pursues their grand ambitions.
This second wave of "Ranking of Kings" Deformed Figures from Banpresto captures the characters' charming designs in a compact 6 cm scale. Bojji is sculpted holding his thin sword with a confident expression. Kage's sculpt is largely the same as the first release, but his eyes have been updated with a gentler look, as if he's encouraging Bojji. Daida sees the most significant change; instead of his princely attire from the first wave, this figure depicts him after King Bosse has possessed his body to reclaim the throne. With his left arm outstretched and a calm demeanor, he radiates a powerful and imposing authority despite his small stature.
