Fellow collectors, do you remember the childhood fear of monsters erupting from underground? Japanese toy brand T-ARTS, a subsidiary of TAKARA TOMY, is set to release new capsule toys this April based on the classic horror monster film series "Tremors" – the "Graboids Collection"!
Released in 1990, "Tremors" tells the story of two handymen, Valentine and Earl, living in the isolated desert town of Perfection, who decide to leave for the nearby town of Bixby. However, on the day they plan to depart, a series of unusual and gruesome deaths begin to occur. Meanwhile, Rhonda, a seismologist studying in the area, encounters strange, unexplainable readings on her equipment. What Valentine and Earl initially suspect to be a serial killer soon becomes horrifyingly clear: massive, terrifying worm-like creatures from beneath the earth are wreaking havoc.
The "Graboids Collection" capsule toy series features a total of 5 different designs, recreating the various forms of the giant monster worms from the "Tremors" film series. These include the iconic Graboid, the smaller, bipedal Shrieker, the winged, jet-propelled AssBlaster, a Larva & Egg set, and a secret chase variant. With the largest figure measuring an impressive 10.5 cm long, these are truly disgustingly cool! Furthermore, the Graboid figure, as seen in the first "Tremors" film, comes with interchangeable parts to depict its aggressive pose, using its tongue-like tentacles to detect and attack humans from underground!
