From Japanese brand FREEing, with cooperation from Max Factory, comes a new entry in the "ex:ride" series, a line designed to be paired with figma action figures. This time, they're releasing a relic from a much darker time—the infamous Iron Maiden! Two versions will be available: the "ex:ride Iron Maiden" and the "ex:ride Iron Maiden Bloody Ver.", both scheduled for release in November 2022.

The Iron Maiden is an infamous torture device from medieval Europe, rumored to be used for executions and interrogations. This human-shaped iron cabinet, often resembling the Virgin Mary, opens to reveal an interior lined with sharp spikes. Once a victim was forced inside the hollow space and the doors were shut, the spikes would pierce their body, leading to an agonizing death.

Diverging from the series' usual focus on vehicles, this "ex:ride" release is a terrifying and articulated "Iron Maiden" model! Standing at approximately 210mm tall, the figure features a detailed sculpt with a realistic metallic texture and paint application. It includes two functional, opening doors, and the long spikes inside are designed as removable parts. To complete the scene, the set also comes with an original crying face plate, handcuffs, and shackles... enough to make any figma figure shake in its boots.
