From Bandai Spirits' Tamashii Nations, the S.H.MonsterArts line, known for its incredibly detailed monster sculpts and superb articulation, has officially announced its latest figure from the film "Godzilla: Final Wars": Monster X, scheduled for a September 2022 release.
Serving as Godzilla's ultimate adversary in "Godzilla: Final Wars," Monster X is a mysterious kaiju that arrived on Earth along with the asteroid Gorath, summoned by the Xiliens. It boasts a striking exoskeleton-like body, incredible agility, and the ability to fire devastating Gravity Beams. The mystery behind its unique head design is revealed in the film's climax when it transforms into its true form, Keizer Ghidorah, a powerhouse that pushed Godzilla to his absolute limits.
The S.H.MonsterArts Monster X is meticulously sculpted based on its on-screen suit, perfectly capturing the intricate, skeletal details of its complex design. While maintaining its sharp aesthetic, the figure's dynamic articulation was engineered by veteran S.H.MonsterArts designer Mitsuhiko Hosokawa, allowing it to replicate the agile combat poses seen in the movie. It also includes a pair of grappling hands to recreate the scene where it lifts Godzilla, designed to be paired with the separately sold Godzilla (2004) figure to stage the ultimate final battle!
