Celebrating Star Wars Day on May 4th, Hong Kong-based toy manufacturer Hot Toys has unveiled a new lineup of releases commemorating the 20th anniversary of "Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones." Leading the charge is the highly anticipated "Battle Droid (Geonosis)" 1/6 scale collectible figure.
Designed and mass-produced by the Trade Federation, the B1 Battle Droids formed the backbone of the Separatist army during the Clone Wars. While individually lacking in combat prowess and often prone to comedic blunders on screen, their overwhelming numbers frequently secured victory in major and minor engagements. Their iconic "Roger Roger" catchphrase has since become one of the most memorable lines in the Star Wars saga.
This new 1/6 scale Battle Droid, inspired by the Separatist forces deployed during the pivotal Battle of Geonosis, stands approximately 31 cm (12.2 inches) tall and boasts 26 points of articulation. The figure meticulously replicates the droid's distinctive brick-red chassis and slender mechanical frame, complete with realistic weathering and battle damage. Collectors can pose the droid in various combat stances, armed with its blaster rifle, or recreate its unique folded storage mode. The extensive array of accessories includes a pair of detachable antennas, a backpack featuring an extendable antenna, a pair of binoculars, a blaster rifle, a desert-themed display base, and a special LED light-up C-3PO head sculpt, perfectly capturing the character's memorable on-screen appearance.
