To commemorate "Piccolo Day" on May 9th, the official Dragon Ball Twitter account (@DB_official_jp) has launched a special giveaway for a "King Piccolo Cape"! This unique item lets Earthlings experience the imposing presence of King Piccolo's incredibly wide-shouldered cape, allowing them to embody the Demon King's fearless aura without worrying about offending anyone.

In the early arcs of "Dragon Ball," the evil King Piccolo invaded Earth and, via television, declared himself the King of the King Piccolo Empire (quite a mouthful!). He designated May 9th, the day his reign began, as "Piccolo Day." He further announced his plan to divide Earth into 43 regions, randomly selecting one each year for instant annihilation with his "Explosive Demon Wave"! However, on that very same day, protagonist Goku returned from his training, and King Piccolo was fatally pierced, bringing his brief reign to an end.
