BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division, known for its incredibly diverse lineup of 1/144 scale Gunpla, the "HG (High Grade)" series, today announced the latest product from "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack": the HG 1/144 ν Gundam Booster Bed. This new kit was scheduled for an early release starting May 21, 2022, at the GUNDAM SIDE-F themed facility in Fukuoka.
This item is based on the long-range unmanned transport craft seen in the "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack" anime, used to transport the newly manufactured ν Gundam. The pallet-shaped fuselage features a camera at the front and large thrusters mounted on both sides. A single unit was capable of transporting the ν Gundam out of the Moon's gravity well and to the front lines where the Londo Bell forces were engaged.
The HG 1/144 ν Gundam Booster Bed kit faithfully recreates the in-show silhouette and the intricate details of the rear thruster nozzles. The large thrusters on either side can be detached and mounted onto the separately sold "Type 89 Base Jabber." By combining this kit with separately sold HG, RG, or other 1/144 scale ν Gundam models, fans can perfectly recreate the iconic transport scenes from the anime.
