Max Factory, a Japanese toy company renowned for its diverse lineup under the popular model kit brand PLAMAX, has announced the upcoming "PLAMAX MS-24 Koteiryu Gold Plated Ver." This release follows their series of Steel Armor products from "Shin Mashin Hero Wataru" and uniquely gathers all the Steel Armor parts into a standalone set, slated for a December 2022 release. This exclusive item will only be available through the GOODSMILE official online store.

The Steel Armor Mashin series originates from the 1989 OVA "Shin Mashin Hero Wataru: The Mountain of Mashin," which tied into TAKARA's "Mashin Daishugo" model kit line. At the summit of Soukaizan, the legendary and most powerful Mashin, "Koteiryu," was sealed. Its golden body can separate into gleaming "Steel Armor" parts, which can be equipped by Mashin like Ryujinmaru, Senjinmaru, Jyakomaru, Genjinmaru, and Kujinmaru, significantly boosting their power. When the power of all five Steel Armor Mashin is combined, they can unleash the super special attack, "Koryu Raigekiha."

The newly announced "PLAMAX MS-24 Koteiryu Gold Plated Ver." brings together all the Steel Armor parts from the previous five Steel Armor Mashin releases into a single, standalone product. While it does not include the Mashin bodies, it allows collectors to directly assemble a considerably large Koteiryu. Unlike previous versions where the Steel Armor parts were molded in yellow, this edition features a complete electroplated finish and pre-painted eyes, delivering a brilliant gold, luxurious aesthetic.
Furthermore, each part retains its interchangeable mechanism. By combining these parts with the separately sold PLAMAX series bodies of Ryujinmaru, Jyakomaru, Senjinmaru, Kujinmaru, and Genjinmaru, collectors can recreate each Mashin's Steel Armor form.
