Snail Shell Studio, a Chinese brand specializing in original mecha girl action figures, is partnering with Chinese cartoonist LAS (LAS91214) to launch the "Heavy Armored TIWAZ Captain Type" 1/12 scale articulated figure. This new release is part of the original mecha series "Heavy Armored TIWAZ," with a suggested retail price of 448 RMB and an anticipated Q3 2022 release.
The "Heavy Armored TIWAZ" series is a brand-new creation from Snail Shell Studio, integrating the designs of renowned mecha designer LAS91214 to bring LAS's intricate mechanical details to life in three dimensions. Captain "Z" of the Heavy Armored TIWAZ mobile unit is a former soldier with a werewolf-inspired design. Upright and dependable, he tolerates no lawless forces. In his pursuit of justice, he clashes with "JINROU," prompting him to re-evaluate the true meaning of "what must be protected."
The "Heavy Armored TIWAZ Captain Type" 1/12 scale articulated figure stands approximately 18 cm tall, faithfully recreating Captain TIWAZ's formidable design. Compared to the mass-production model, this Captain Type features additional yellow-painted chest and shoulder armor, symbolizing his rank. Weathering effects and battle damage details are applied to the arm guards and weapons. It includes two intricately sculpted wolf-head faceplates – a standard expression and an angry one – both featuring realistic fur textures that capture the werewolf's wild and natural appearance. The eyes are painted with fluorescent colors, allowing them to glow under blacklight!
Furthermore, the melee weapons—the tactical battle axe "Datianmen" and the machete "XM18G “HAMMER HEAD”"—are designed by the renowned Japanese design company NEMOTOKNIVES, enhancing the overall armament's aggressive and intimidating presence. The ranged weapons, a tactical shotgun and a riot control assault rifle, can be mounted on the rear skirt armor.
