Following the release of the "Special Airborne Armor 1 Sevenger" from "Ultraman Z," the popular S.H.Figuarts action figure series, produced by BANDAI SPIRITS' TAMASHII NATIONS collectible toy division, is now releasing an upgraded version: the new "S.H.Figuarts Special Airborne Armor 1 Sevenger Custom (Space Type)"! This figure is priced at 8,250 JPY (tax included) and is scheduled for release in June 2022.
Sevenger, a mechanical monster, first appeared in episode 34 of "Ultraman Leo." Unable to transform after losing his Ultra Eye, Dan Moroboshi (Ultraman Seven) utilized Sevenger, a monster created by the Land of Light, for battle. Sevenger was notable for its adorable, seemingly sorrowful eyes. In "Ultraman Z," Sevenger was given a new origin, reimagined as "Special Airborne Armor 1," a weapon developed by Earthlings. It is equipped with various projectile armaments, notably the "Hard Core Iron Fist Bullet," and is used to repel monsters or assist in disaster relief, though it has an operational time limit of only three minutes.
The "S.H.Figuarts Special Airborne Armor 1 Sevenger Custom (Space Type)" action figure stands approximately 150mm tall. Based on the previously released version, this figure features an upgraded base body, addressing Sevenger's previous issue of unstable legs. The strengthened movable leg and waist joints allow for more dynamic posing, reflecting its active role in space. Additionally, the entire figure features a bright silver paint application, bringing it closer to its on-screen appearance, and the thrusters on its back boast realistic scorch-mark paintwork.
Also included are interchangeable eye parts depicting Sevenger under Gilbaris' control, as seen in the special mini-series "Sevenger Fight," along with three new weapons used in the series: the Type 20 Multi-Purpose Electromagnetic Baton, the Type 20 Bayonet Type 2, and the Special Airborne Armor Support Weapon 40mm General-Purpose Machine Gun!
