Bandai Candy, Bandai's candy toy division, is set to launch its latest release, "EVA-FRAME: Rebuild of Evangelion 04"! Following the success of the first wave, Yashima Operation Set, second wave, and "Evangelion: 3.0" Final Battle Set, this new collection continues the highly articulated EVA-FRAME series based on the "Rebuild of Evangelion" films. Each individual box will retail for 649 JPY, with a full set priced at 6,490 JPY (tax included), and is slated for release in September 2022.
The EVA-FRAME series carries on the legacy of the "Mobile Suit Gundam G-FRAME" line, offering meticulously detailed candy toys that feature an articulated inner frame and separate armor (restraints). Standing approximately 15 cm tall, these figures boast even more flexible articulation compared to their Gundam counterparts, thanks to the EVA's humanoid bare frame. With movable joints in the chest, waist, and limbs, collectors can recreate dynamic, explosive poses like running and jumping, capturing the iconic movements of the Evangelions.
The fourth wave of the "EVA-FRAME: Rebuild of Evangelion 04" candy toy series includes Evangelion Unit-01 (Awakened Ver.) and the ill-fated Unit-03 from "Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance," as well as Mari Illustrious Makinami's Unit-08β from "Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo." Also featured is a striking transparent purple variant of Unit-01 (Crystal Purple Color Ver.), alongside two distinct armament sets. These sets allow collectors to recreate dramatic scenes from the films, such as Unit-03's terrifying transformation with extra arms after being infected by an Angel, and Unit-01's awakening into its "Pseudo-Evolutionary First Form"!
