Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company HOBBY Division, at today's online new product announcement event 'HOBBY NEXT PHASE 2022 SUMMER', announced the first tokusatsu "Ultraman" product in the Figure-rise Standard series, "Figure-rise Standard Ultraman Trigger Multi Type", scheduled for release on November 19, 2022.
The first tokusatsu "Ultraman" product in the Figure-rise Standard series features Ultraman Trigger, known as the "New Generation Tiga". Both his design and backstory largely inherit the settings from the 1996 masterpiece "Ultraman Tiga". The story describes how thirty million years ago, the world was engulfed in terrifying darkness. Fortunately, with the help of a Giant of Light, the darkness was sealed away in a distant universe, but the Giant of Light also exhausted its power and fell into a long slumber. Time flew by, and Earth's long-standing peace came to an end. The awakened darkness caused monsters to ravage the human world. Kengo Manaka, a botanist living on Mars, combined with the power of light in a moment of crisis, becoming the legendary giant, 'Ultraman Trigger'.
Trigger also possesses the ability to transform into three forms, and the one being commercialized this time is his signature Multi Type. The "Figure-rise Standard Ultraman Trigger Multi Type" extensively recreates its in-show appearance through excellent color separation and part division techniques. All parts, including the silver, blue, and red sections across the body, and even the gold sections with high-density sculpted details, are independent pieces.
The full-body joint design balances both aesthetic integrity and range of motion. The neck, chest, and waist feature multi-stage articulation, allowing for the recreation of dynamic combat poses. As for accessories, it includes the intricately designed weapon "Circle Arms (Multi Sword Mode)", the special move "Zeppelion Beam effect parts", various expressive hand parts, and interchangeable blue/red color timers.
