Released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectors division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., the "S.H.MonsterArts" series, which combines exquisite monster sculpting with outstanding articulation technology, recently unveiled for the first time at their official flagship store, TAMASHII NATIONS STORE TOKYO, the latest entry in the "Monster Hunter" series, the prototype for "S.H.MonsterArts Mizutsune". Release date is yet to be determined.

First appearing in "Monster Hunter X", "Mizutsune" is a large Leviathan-type monster with dazzling colors. Its appearance, resembling flower petals, seems beautiful but harbors a deep threat. It can secrete a special fluid, like soapy water, that makes surfaces incredibly slippery. After rubbing this fluid with the dense fur extending from its belly to its tail, it can produce a large amount of foam. This not only allows it to glide rapidly across the ground but also deprives its prey of freedom, sending them to their demise in a dreamlike bubble bath. Furthermore, Mizutsune can also repel enemies by firing powerful jets of water from its mouth.

The prototype for "S.H.MonsterArts Mizutsune" faithfully recreates the translucent, petal-like fins on its head and back, and the dense fur extending from its belly to its tail. It is also adorned with various high-gloss pearlescent colors to express its vibrant, colorful scales. The articulation parts continue the series' precise design, with multi-segment articulation in the neck, body, tail, and limbs, achieving both sculptural integrity and a wide range of motion. Additionally, accessories include ground foam effects and a water jet effect that can be attached to its mouth, allowing for the recreation of battle scenes.
