Hong Kong toy manufacturer Hot Toys today (6th) announced three new limited-edition products for "Hot Toys Summer Showcase 2022". This article will bring you information on the "Boba Fett Arena Suit" 1/6th scale collectible figure, which originates from the Star Wars comic "Star Wars: War of Bounty Hunters"!
This all-black appearance, featured in the comic "Star Wars: War of Bounty Hunters", takes place after the events of the film "The Empire Strikes Back", when Han Solo was carbon-frozen. Boba Fett, in order to maintain Han Solo's stable vital signs during transport to Tatooine, came to Nar Shaddaa to seek assistance from Doc Ragon. However, having no cash on hand and unable to pay Doc Ragon for adjusting the carbon-freezing device, Boba Fett reluctantly agreed to Doc Ragon's request to participate in arena combat. To keep his identity secret, he painted his armor entirely black and competed under the alias Jango.
This figure stands approximately 30 cm tall and features 30 points of articulation, meticulously recreating the all-black suit from the comic. It showcases two distinct finishes on the helmet, armor, and jetpack: a metallic sheen and a matte finish, complemented by realistic weathering and battle damage to enhance its overall depth. Details such as the torn cape, braided hair, and backpack mechanisms are also excellently sculpted. In addition to his signature blaster rifle and blaster pistol, a long-handled axe accessory is included, not only increasing playability but also allowing more Star Wars fans to collect this rare disguised appearance of Boba Fett.
