Issued by Japan's Kotobukiya Co., Ltd., the 'Megami Device' assembly model series, which combines machinery and beautiful girls, following KOUBU SUSANOWO, today announced the release of an alternate color version, 'KOUBU SUSANOWO SOUEN,' scheduled for January 2023.
KOUBU SUSANOWO is a new generation Megami Device designed by illustrator Nidy-2D-, serving as the successor to the Shura series. It features a new, larger Machineca body, with proportions re-adjusted by sculptor Masaki Apsy, making it bigger than previous products. Standing at 20 cm tall and comprising 401 to 600 parts, it has been highly praised since its release. This time, the appearing KOUBU SUSANOWO SOUEN is set as an enhanced version of the original, with the addition of an optical effect generator. This device can produce absolute zero cold air that freezes opponents, resembling blue flames, and enhances aerial maneuverability through effect jets. However, due to the extremely conspicuous light it generates, it is very easy to expose its position on the battlefield.
Megami Device KOUBU SUSANOWO SOUEN utilizes the highly acclaimed new body from its predecessor, with the molded colors replaced by a blue and white scheme. The hair parts, previously displayed in blue, have been changed to clear gray. In addition to the original multiple interchangeable hand parts, it further includes clear blue molded M.S.G Sharp Hand 2, and three newly produced pre-painted face parts: 'Smiling Face,' 'Pouting Face,' and '!? Face.' The mechanical limb parts adopt the new 'AUV Frame,' increasing the number of 3mm hardpoints available on the limbs, enhancing convenience for expansion and customization.
In addition to replacing the molded colors of the armor parts with blue, white, and gold, numerous new parts capable of connecting flame effects have been added. These reproduce the armed form with blue flames erupting from the entire body, and the appearance can be changed by swapping installation positions and utilizing various articulation points. The main weapon, 'Frost Blade,' in addition to its regular sword form with deployed flame effects, can be transformed into various configurations such as a long whip, gun, or tail through its abundant connection points, further enhancing playability.
