A beautiful female pilot, no less capable than her male counterparts! The renowned Japanese toy company MegaHouse is set to release a 1/8 scale figure of Gaw Ha Leccee (ガウ・ハ・レッシィ), one of the many heroines from the classic robot anime "Heavy Metal L-Gaim" (重戦機エルガイム)! It is scheduled for release in December 2022.
"Heavy Metal L-Gaim" (重戦機エルガイム) was directed by the renowned "father of Gundam," Yoshiyuki Tomino, with Mamoru Nagano in charge of character design. It aired from February 1984 to February 1985, totaling over 54 episodes. The story describes a world oppressed by the dictatorial rule of Poseidal (ポセイダル), leading to widespread discontent and the formation of resistance movements. The protagonist, Daba Myroad (ダバ・マイロード), embarks on a journey to find his sister, coincidentally meeting a group of companions and rivals, and joining forces with the resistance to challenge Poseidal. The mechs in the story are called HMs, short for HEAVY METAL, and are categorized by rank.
▼ "Heavy Metal L-Gaim" early anime opening video:
In the original "Heavy Metal L-Gaim," Gaw Ha Leccee comes from a prestigious family and was initially the lowest-ranking member of Poseidal's "Thirteen." After meeting and getting to know the protagonist Daba, she was influenced by his charisma and decided to defect from Poseidal's army. Initially, she was treated as a spy, and Leccee even cut her hair to demonstrate her resolve. Standing 170 cm tall, she possesses a striking face and figure. She often bickered with another female character, Amu, over Daba. She temporarily left Daba's faction midway through the story, and upon her return, her appearance and personality had subtly changed, making her a very popular character.
This Gaw Ha Leccee figure from MegaHouse is produced at 1/8 scale, standing approximately 20 cm tall. It is based on Leccee's appearance from the latter half of the story. The transparent base features the "L-Gaim" series logo, with Leccee seated upon it, one leg tucked in. This pose allows her tall, excellent figure to be fully appreciated. Perched on Leccee's finger is the adorable fairy Lilith, and their expressions suggest an exchange of glances, which is quite beautiful. Other intricate details of Leccee's outfit, as well as her signature red short-long hair, are vividly and meticulously recreated.
