From Bandai Candy, the Shokugan (candy toy) division of Japan's Bandai, comes the "Mobile Suit Gundam" candy toy series 'FW GUNDAM CONVERGE', known for its intricate construction and detail packed into an average height of 55mm. To commemorate its 10th anniversary, following the highly acclaimed #SELECTION 01, the company has announced the second commemorative release, "FW GUNDAM CONVERGE 10th Anniversary #SELECTION 02", which is set to hit shelves in Taiwan starting July 13, 2022, beginning with FamilyMart convenience stores and followed by major department stores and toy shops.
Bandai's immensely popular candy toy series based on "Mobile Suit Gundam", 'FW GUNDAM CONVERGE', recreates the cool designs of various mobile suits in a super-deformed style. It not only utilizes composite materials for its mechanical structures but also pays meticulous attention to reproducing fine details. Over its ten-year run, the product line has covered dozens of Gundam-related works, becoming the collectible figure series with the largest number of mobile suits ever recorded.
The lineup for this release is based on the "New Figure Poll & Past Release Reprint Poll" conducted from December 18, 2020, to January 31, 2021. The reissued portion features the Gundam Heavyarms Custom (EW) from #06 and the ν Gundam from #01. The Gundam Heavyarms Custom (EW) includes an additional unmasked head part, while the ν Gundam comes with an added beam saber.
As for the all-new figures, the release includes a fantastic selection: the protagonist's mobile suit from "Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory," the Gundam GP01 Full Burnern; the adorable amphibious MS from "Mobile Suit Gundam," the Acguy; the advanced Axis mobile suit from "Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ," the Zaku III Custom; and Mashymre's Zaku III Custom (Psycho-Pressure Ver.).
