Die, Yurine! Japanese toy company Good Smile Company's best-selling "Nendoroid" (ねんどろいど) toy series will once again re-release the Nendoroid figure of the main character, "Jashin-chan" (邪神ちゃん), from the ongoing series Jashin-chan Dropkick (邪神ちゃんドロップキック)! Scheduled for re-release in December 2022.
The work Jashin-chan Dropkick, created by manga artist Yukiwo, began serialization online in 2012, and an anime adaptation was released in 2018. Currently, two seasons have aired, with a third season scheduled for 2022. It is a comedy series set in everyday life, occasionally interspersed with parody elements from other works.
▼ Jashin-chan Dropkick Anime Opening Theme Video:
Jashin-chan (邪神ちゃん) is a demon from the demon world, with the lower half of her body resembling a snake. She was accidentally summoned by the protagonist, Yurine Hanazono, but because she doesn't know the spell to return to the demon world, she is forced to remain in the human realm. Unwilling to waste her time indefinitely, the mischievous Jashin-chan resorts to all sorts of schemes, constantly trying to kill Yurine to return to the demon world (as the spell becomes void upon the summoner's death). Unfortunately, she is often mercilessly counter-attacked by Yurine, and thus, the two begin their cohabitation. Her personality is extremely despicable and depraved; she frequently borrows money from Medusa and never repays it, instead using it for pachinko. When eating hot pot, she deliberately devours all the expensive meat, and her misdeeds almost always result in Yurine's cold retaliation, leading her to suffer the consequences.
This Nendoroid Jashin-chan faithfully recreates her appearance from the original work and the anime. It comes with three interchangeable face plates: a winking smile with her tongue sticking out, a blank-eyed open-mouthed expression, and an aggressive, murderous glare. As for accessories, she includes the wallet hanging from her chest, a rice bowl for eating, and special lower body parts, such as an accessory to recreate Jashin-chan's flying kick, and a blood-splatter effect part for when her lower body is severed by Yurine's knife after committing mischief. Overall, it's a highly entertaining product. Furthermore, purchases made through the Good Smile Company official website will receive a "pudding" accessory.
