Japan's Sentinel company's "Fighting Armor" (ファイティングアーマー) action figure series, which reinterprets MARVEL superheroes in a unique style, has announced its latest product, "Thor" (ソー)! Scheduled for release in December 2022.
Fighting Armor is an original series focused on "Sentinel-izing" Marvel heroes, creating cool armor that matches each character's style. For this series' debut of "Thor," the overall mechanical design was once again handled by "Okawara Kunio," with "Komatsubara Hiroyuki" responsible for the prototype. This figure stands approximately 17 cm tall and is crafted from composite materials such as ATBC-PVC, ABS, and alloy, which are less prone to oil degradation. Thor's magnificent battle suit is transformed into a steel armor with a sharp, detailed feel, while retaining classic elements like the winged helmet, vibrant red cape, and circular structures on the chest and abdomen. The extensive surface detailing and diverse color scheme significantly enhance the figure's sense of depth.
Accessories include multiple interchangeable hands and two signature weapons: Mjolnir and Stormbreaker. The design style, which crafts heavy cold weapons with high technology, is incredibly cool. Notably, the fabric cape features a bendable wire inside, allowing for more dynamic poses, such as superhero landings or swinging weapons mid-air – absolutely awesome!
