Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd. candy toy division, BANDAI CANDY, announced today (19th) the latest candy toy product, "PUI PUI Molcar Korokoro Friends 4," from the highly popular stop-motion animation "PUI PUI Molcar DRIVING SCHOOL," scheduled for release in January 2023.
The felt stop-motion animation "PUI PUI Molcar," which became a sensation in 2021, garnered attention since its first episode. Creator Tomoki Misato combined guinea pigs with cars, making them more relatable to human life. Their adorable designs are deeply captivating, and the storyline sometimes portrays heartwarming, healing daily life, while at other times featuring extraordinary developments reminiscent of classic movie scenes, creating a unique world. The sequel, "PUI PUI Molcar DRIVING SCHOOL," set to air in October 2022, will take viewers to a driving school to see what kind of commotion the Molcars will cause and meet even more new friends!
The newly released candy toy, "PUI PUI Molcar Korokoro Friends 4," will also be themed after the second season of the anime, launching eight types of adorable Molcar mini-figures at once. Each figure's wheels feature a rotating mechanism, allowing them to be manually pushed forward! However, for this 4th installment, only two characters have been revealed so far: Wasabi, who loves cucumbers, and Tarako, with unique bangs and a love for parties. Information on the remaining six figures is expected to be gradually unveiled at a later date.
