Japanese capsule toy manufacturer Kitan Club (キタンクラブ) will release an incredibly cute new gashapon series, "Snack Swing" (おやつブランコ), in December 2022! Each capsule will cost 300 Japanese Yen.
Kitan Club's "Swing" (ブランコ) themed series is known for its play style where the capsule toys can be attached to the edge of a desk or shelf. With a gentle nudge, the frogs and cats on top swing back and forth, making for a very therapeutic "lazy" type of gashapon. This time, the protagonists are anthropomorphic snacks! Just imagining these foods, with their short arms and legs and a pair of beady eyes, swinging around, brings an involuntary "auntie smile" to one's face! And the pancake's eyes and mouth are on a tiny dollop of cream – the proportions are just too amusing! The part that attaches to the table edge is cloud-shaped, and the color of the cloud and chair varies for each item.
This "Snack Swing" series features five types: Hotcake (ホットケーキ), Donut (ドーナツ), Soft Serve Ice Cream (ソフトクリーム), Pudding (プリン), and American Hot Dog (アメリカンドッグ). You really should try to get one – they're super cute!
