Following the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force Type 07-III Tank Nacchin, Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya recently announced the latest product in the Nacchin series created by Japanese mechanical designer moi: the "Metropolitan Police Department Type 07-III Special Vehicle Patrol Nacchin," scheduled for release in January 2023.
The Japan Ground Self-Defense Force Type 07-III Tank Nacchin is an original character created by Japanese mechanical designer moi. It is equipped with a 'Highly Advanced Future Prediction AI' successfully developed in the year 2090, possessing a personality and communication abilities similar to humans. It utilizes Type 07 composite heat-resistant armor and new N-type nickel-hydrogen batteries, with flexible dual arms capable of wielding various armaments. However, its human-like qualities tend to keep people at a distance. Only Captain Natsuki Kukurigi named her personal unit "Nacchin" (Little Seven) and treated it like a squad member. This Patrol Nacchin is set as "another self from another world" discovered after the two were drawn into a multiverse.
The "Metropolitan Police Department Type 07-III Special Vehicle Patrol Nacchin" is based on the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force specification Nacchin kit. It features newly sculpted parts for the patrol lights, head, and shoulder armor, and utilizes 6-color molded parts to recreate the police car's black and white color scheme. The eyes, chest emblem, and black sections on both sides of the chest armor are pre-painted parts. The patrol lights can also be swapped between T-shaped and Y-shaped designs. Its 11 cm body boasts an impressive 62 points of articulation, and the head cockpit features an opening mechanism, though it does not include an internal pilot seat or pilot figure.
Equipment includes the "M.S.G Weapon Unit 41 Bulletproof Shield," produced in the Nacchin series' dedicated molded colors, which contains weapons such as a handgun, shotgun, and baton. Additionally, newly sculpted large dedicated handguns and long batons are available for use. The product also comes with water-slide decals featuring various body markings, allowing users to apply "Metropolitan Police Department," "POLICE," unit numbers, and other insignia to various parts of the Patrol Nacchin unit.
