BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division's highly popular character model kit series, 'Figure-rise Standard,' today announced the latest product from Digimon, 'Angemon,' scheduled for release on January 14, 2023.
This time, the Figure-rise Standard series once again releases the highly popular Angel-type Digimon, 'Angemon,' based on its anime design. In the original Digimon Adventure, Angemon is the partner of T.K. Takaishi, one of the DigiDestined. While its pre-evolution, Patamon, had weaker abilities and lacked significant presence, upon evolving into Angemon, it gained powerful holy strength. Even as a Champion-level Digimon, it possessed the ability to combat stronger, evil Virus-type Digimon. It first evolved during the crisis against Devimon, using its signature move "Heaven's Knuckle" to defeat Devimon in a single blow and turn the tide of battle.
The 'Figure-rise Standard Angemon' kit is produced based on its anime appearance, faithfully reproducing its muscular, pure white body with articulated joints. The six wing parts on its back are individually articulated via ball joints. Its long hair and blue cloth parts also feature multi-directional articulation thanks to ball joints. In addition to various interchangeable hand parts and a Holy Rod for dynamic battle poses, its right hand can be equipped with a "Heaven's Knuckle" effect part to recreate its cool signature move!
Upon the release of the prototype samples, it can be seen that the overall kit is composed of molded colors such as white, blue, skin tone, orange-yellow, gunmetal, and gold. Areas like the mask, gauntlets, belt, and leg rings utilize gunmetal molded color, while the staff and wristbands use gold molded parts. The lower face, upper body buckles, and numerous gold ornaments throughout the body are all separate parts. Although the blue cloth parts wrapped around the left arm and right leg are connected in multiple sections with visible seams, the wrinkle details are expressed quite naturally, achieving a good level of completion without the need for painting.
