T-ARTS, a toy brand under Japan's TAKARA TOMY Company, will release a gashapon collection this December, based on the theme of New York, USA's "The Metropolitan Museum of Art" (メトロポリタン美術館)!

Located next to Central Park in Manhattan, New York City, and boasting an exhibition area of over 20 hectares, "The Metropolitan Museum of Art," commonly known as THE MET, houses over two million works of art from ancient to modern times, from all over the world, and is also one of the most active museums in the world. This "The Metropolitan Museum of Art Gashapon Collection" released by T-ARTS features a total of 5 items, which miniaturize famous collection pieces into sizes of approximately 4 to 8 cm. These include Van Gogh's "Self-Portrait with a Straw Hat," "Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji: Bishū Fujimigahara," Monet's "Water Lilies," a two-piece set of "Human-Headed Winged Lion Statue" and "Human-Headed Winged Bull Statue," and "Faience Hippopotamus 'William'."

The artworks all come with easels, and "Water Lilies" is assembled from three parts. When the Human-Headed Winged Lion and Human-Headed Winged Bull are displayed side-by-side, they perfectly recreate the entrance to THE MET's exhibition hall. What's incredibly cool is that T-ARTS has also presented the Faience Hippopotamus 'William' as a pull-back car, making it both adorable and fun!!
