In addition to the Takanashi Koyomi [Swimsuit]], Kotobukiya (KOTOBUKIYA), a Japanese model manufacturer, has also announced the release of the new everyday-style bishojo plastic model kit series "Sousai Shojo Teien" with a special color limited edition, "Takanashi Koyomi [Swimsuit] Dreaming Style Black Swan ver.", scheduled for July 2023.
"Sousai Shojo Teien" is a new 1/10 scale plastic model kit series developed by Kotobukiya in collaboration with popular Japanese illustrator Morikura En. Featuring ordinary yet distinctive high school girls, the series emphasizes five key characteristics: creation, painting, decoration, customization, and collection. You can use different hair parts, expressions, accessories, and even dedicated parts for various poses to create your favorite female characters. Furthermore, by adding separately sold "AFTER SCHOOL" diorama parts, you can set up rich scenes such as dining at a fast-food restaurant or studying at a desk!
The "Takanashi Koyomi [Swimsuit] Dreaming Style Black Swan ver." features the literary girl Takanashi Koyomi in a one-piece dress-style swimsuit. Unlike the regular version, the swimsuit's color has been entirely changed to a black tone, and the hair parts' molding color has been replaced with a light purple, creating an image distinct from her usual appearance. While this product, like the previous Dreaming Style Swimsuit Madoka Yuki, includes a "Romantic Sunset Beach Background Board" seemingly for photography, the official website specifically notes that this background board will only be shipped within Japan, and overseas proxy/distributor versions will not include this bonus.
The rest of the features are identical to the regular version, utilizing the series' highly articulated and natural body design. The neck's ball joint can slide back and forth to adjust the head's pitch angle, allowing for a wide range of adorable poses. Parts such as the straw hat with a large ribbon and high-heeled sandals are pre-painted. It also includes four pre-printed expression parts: "Winking Face," "Staring Face," "Tongue-Out Face," and "Smiling Face," ensuring a high level of completion even with a straight build. The accessories further include three types of hair parts, three types of bangs parts without glasses, 8 pairs of sculpted hands, bare feet parts, more aesthetically pleasing fixed-pose leg parts, dedicated sitting leg parts, four unpainted expression parts, water-slide decals for expressions, a dedicated display base, a neck joint adapter for the Megami Device series, and other incredibly rich content, allowing you to freely customize Takanashi Koyomi into a variety of your favorite looks!
