Following the standard version of ULTRAMAN SUIT EVIL TIGA, the highly popular character model kit series 'Figure-rise Standard', released by Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS HOBBY Division, has once again announced its latest product from the 'ULTRAMAN SUIT PROJECT' spin-off of the 'ULTRAMAN' manga: the "ULTRAMAN SUIT EVIL TIGA -ACTION-", slated for release in June 2023.
The prototype for ULTRAMAN SUIT EVIL TIGA originates from Evil Tiga, who appeared in Episode 44 of the original 'Ultraman Tiga' series. Although referred to as Evil Tiga for distinction, he is indeed an ancient giant of light, identical to Tiga. He slumbered alongside the ancient Komainu monster in the form of a giant statue, only to be forcibly fused with the ambitious scientist Keigo Masaki, who also possessed ancient human genes. The clash between good and evil within him caused his power to rampage, not only devastating cities but also killing the ancient Komainu monster closest to him, leading to a truly tragic fate.
The "Figure-rise Standard ULTRAMAN SUIT EVIL TIGA -ACTION-" is a modified version of the standard kit, faithfully reproducing the distinct molding colors, chest V-shape, and shoulder armor design different from Tiga. The silver parts are produced with Extra Finish technology, while the black parts are treated with Gross Injection technology, giving the molded colors a plated and metallic texture. It also includes the original weapon "EVIL FORK" and effect parts for the beam technique "EVIL SHOT".
Unlike the standard version, the ACTION version does not include an LED lighting unit. The head and chest feature newly designed articulated segmented parts, with numerous new articulation points added from the neck, chest, to the waist, allowing for more flexible and natural poses than the standard version which accommodates an LED light. Additionally, it includes abdomen parts that can house an LED light, allowing the energy lamp on the chest to glow when paired with a separately sold dedicated LED unit.
