French high-end statue brand Kitsune Statue will release a product based on the classic manga "Hunter x Hunter": the "Meruem, the Chimera Ant King" 1/4 scale statue! Limited to 400 units worldwide, the suggested retail price is €624.17 EUR. Pre-orders are currently open on their official website, with an estimated release in Q2 2024.
A pivotal character from the "Chimera Ant Arc" of Hunter x Hunter - Meruem, the Chimera Ant King (メルエム) - is the strongest Chimera Ant King in history. Even within the Queen's womb, he began absorbing the flesh and consuming the Nen of Nen users, enhancing his own Nen abilities while also acquiring the Nen skills of those he absorbed. His personality is childish, brutal, and cold-blooded, believing violence to be the ultimate power. However, after encountering Komugi, a master of Gungi, the repeatedly defeated King began to ponder the meaning of life and developed unique feelings.
The Kitsune Statue "Meruem, the Chimera Ant King" 1/4 scale statue is inspired by the scene where Chairman Netero and Killua's grandfather destroy the palace, indirectly causing Komugi severe injuries, leading to the Chimera Ant King's surging rage as he prepares for a decisive battle against them. Standing approximately 48 cm tall, it faithfully captures Meruem's seemingly calm expression, yet with eyes revealing intense bloodlust. Beneath his resolute stride lies a broken and shattered wooden Gungi board, with pieces scattered around, adding to the overall tension! It also conveys the profound emotions between the Chimera Ant King and Komugi.
