BANDAI SPIRITS' Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS has officially announced the commercialization of the latest work from its popular die-cast toy series METAL BUILD's new spin-off line, "METAL BUILD DRAGON SCALE," featuring "Shin Getter 1," a prototype of which was recently exhibited. Full details are expected to be revealed in late January 2023.
"METAL BUILD DRAGON SCALE" continues the legacy of the previous MB series with features such as "die-cast parts combined with a heavy, substantial paint finish" and "reinterpreting the design style to match the character." Additionally, new designs like "articulated exterior armor resembling dragon scales" and "internal structures housing a soul" have been added. The "Shin Getter 1" being released this time is a popular mecha from the anime "Getter Robo Armageddon." Its detailed sculpting has been significantly modified based on the original design's silhouette, giving it more mechanical-looking armor and wing designs.
From the previously released prototype, it can be seen that "METAL BUILD DRAGON SCALE Shin Getter 1" features highly detailed armor sculpting, combining transparent green parts to represent areas where internal mechanisms and Getter Ray light shine through. It is finished with rich metallic paintwork to convey a substantial, heavy feel, and wields a massive Getter Tomahawk whose length surpasses the main body. Furthermore, the newly revealed prototype silhouette also unveils effect parts to recreate the powerful special move "Getter Ray Storm."
