GOOD SMILE COMPANY's popular product line, "Nendoroid (ねんどろいど)," has officially announced its latest products from the popular shooting game 《Cuphead》: "Cuphead" and "Mugman"! This article will provide information on the "Mugman" (マグマン) product.
The shooting game 《Cuphead》, developed by Studio MDHR, centers around the brothers Cuphead and Mugman, who lose their souls in a gamble with the Devil. Indebted, they are forced to obey the Devil's commands and embark on a life-or-death "debt collection" mission! This game is characterized by its retro cartoon-like scenes, old TV static effects, and challenging levels. Despite its incredibly fun and cute visuals, the number of enemy bullets is astonishing! Players must hone their precise dodging skills to defeat bosses and clear stages with very little health.
The "Nendoroid Mugman" stands approximately 10 cm tall. It faithfully recreates the character's body, pie-eyes, and large round-toed shoes, primarily in blue, black, and white, as per the game's design. Mugman's nose, originally larger than Cuphead's, seems even more prominent as a Nendoroid. His head expressions include a standard face, a determined face, and a mischievous face that instantly elevates his cunning, portraying the dastardly Mugman. Like Cuphead, he comes with "Peashooter" attack effects and flame parts. The clear sheet features the "VICTORY!" text seen after clearing a stage, and honestly, that "VICTORY!" gives a sense of relief (laughs)! It's definitely a must-have to collect and display alongside Cuphead.
